Hi! My name is Justyna, I will be 21 next month. I come from Poland, still live here. I study French Philology and this week I found out I got accepted into European Studies. I'm really excited about that.
Now I'm on vacation and looking for a job but it seems impossible to find any. I lost count of jobs I've applied to already. So now I'm watching lots of TV shows and reading books. Currently it's Bones. Though, my all time favourite shows are Friends and Supernatural.
I'm a huge fantasy fan. I like Harry Potter and Star Trek. I'd rather read a book with faeries in it then something else.
I'm not good at drawing, music, or writing poems, but I like taking pictures. I'm not saying they are any good, but it's somthing I enjoy.
On the music note, I listen to everything, basically. There is not point of listing my favourite bands. It would be a long one.

I was going through my computer and found these pics. They are not the greatest quality. I waited in line forever to get an autograph from Brian. If you purchased an album from the Virgin tent you got priority. I was not going to buy another album since I had them all already! I took my chances and thought I would still be able to make it to the front. I was wrong! The first picture is as close as I got before they whisked them away!

Hello Placeboworld!
Now, if you've been in the crowd at any of our festival gigs so far you might have wondered 'who's that girl onstage?' so I thought I should introduce myself. The serious, sleevenote-reading fans among you will know that this is not my first involvement with Placebo because I wrote the string arrangements on the Meds album and also the Hotel Persona album. I joined the band in the studio in Toronto last summer to write the string arrangements for this new album, but the Angkor Wat concert in Cambodia was my first time performing live with Brian, Stef & Steve. It was a very special show in a beautiful environment and it was an honour to join the boys onstage. So, when they asked me to join them for the full tour this year the answer had to be YES!! And I'm absolutely loving it!! The festival crowds have been absolutely amazing so far, so thank you all for your support, I hope you enjoy the new record and I look forward to meeting some of you!

I'm not very good when it comes to making introductions, so try to bear with me here.
First off, I'm a Female, I'm 16, and I live in Canada. Even though I'm not exactly an avid fan of school, I do love to learn, and I plan to be one of those people who'll continue to learn new things even as they're approaching old age. I'm really interested in learning new languages, and I'm currently tackling Japanese, with a little Korean on the side. I enjoy taking really bad photography, and pretending that I have talent when it comes to art. Did I mention I'm probably one of the laziest people you'll meet?

Some interests of mine include:
K-pop. JDramas and KDramas. Mint flavoured foods and beverages. Looking at food blogs and wishing I could cook. Reading books about shallow topics. Politics. Talking about attractive young men. Mangas. Movies with horrible acting. Various bands/artists such as Metric, Queens of The Stone Age, The Strokes, Dream Theater, Union of Knives, Arctic Monkeys, Epik High, and Dragonette. Various TV Shows like IT Crowd, Chaser's War on Everything, The Mighty Boosh, and So you think you can dance. (And here, you could insert whatever interest I would probably put if I was willing to put more time into thinking about this post)

Just to let you know, this journal is not my main journal. I have a journal where I talk about fandom and my real life and that sort of thing, but around a month ago, I realised that I was in need of a journal where I could just post whatever random thought that burst into my head at the time without spamming my friends list in the process.
Anyway, seeing how I'm making myself a new journal, I figured why not get some new friends? I really love reading journals, and I comment whenever I have something to say, which is pretty much all the time. I want to meet people from all walks of life.

i've posten on here before, but i love making new friends!
i'm a 22 year old married chick living about a half hour outside boston. i work part time as a hairstylist. im pregnant and due 9.17. i love horror movies, my husband, my cats, makeup (esp. special fx. the bloodier the better!) lazy sundays, soft serve vanilla ice cream, my friends, driving around pointlessly, making arts and crafts-type things.
i usually update about my day, pregnancy woes and when my husband pisses me off (as well when he does something nice like rub my feet) i try to comment as much as possible.

I'm Nika. I'm 22. My LJ is 7 in August.
I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, though these days I live wherever I lay my hat.
I will try anything and become good at it. I've been an awkward girl ever since I can remember, and I've finally come to embrace it.
My entries span a variety of topics, from babies and rants to unabashed banter about my sex life. DDR/ITG is my oxygen, as well as one of the major staples of my journal. The transition from the angsty 15-year-old sophomore I was to the woman I am today was a rocky, yet exciting one. You'll not be left disappointed.
I'm looking for like-minded souls, people who do nothing by the book. People who write fluently, or paint or photograph in similar fashion. People who can't sing or dance, but don't care. People who love beauty and decay, loud noises and soft melodies, tragedies and fairy-tale endings alike.
I'm a sporadic writer; I can go on daily for weeks at a time, and then have a month-long dry spell. I'm equally as random with my comments, so I make no promises. I don't demand much but not to take up space in my friends list; it doesn't matter to me, frankly... if you don't like what you see, you can always delete me.

Wow so after going awol rom eljay for a long time, I'm back and looking for a few new friends. My current friendlist is overflowing almost but after all this time, you can guarantee at least 90% of them will never visit my journal again (I'm just trying to work myself up into the task of going through and removing people who have cut me or who havent updated etc in a long long time). - I don't do friends cuts if you don't comment etc, I understand that people have life to face and more important things on their minds and I'm not going to hurt you if you don't remember my cats name (and hey, not even I remember this one!).
Rambling aside, I'm 23 from kiwiland. I'm not particularly interesting, currently unemployed (thanks, recession!) and rather antisocial. My partner is deaf and my in-laws are crazy. I love movies/dvds to the point of obssession. I love my pets (2 dogs, 2 birds and we do have a cat as mentioned) and just all animals in general. I love video games. Once everythings sorted I will/should be posting about things like WoW (haha <3), Sims 2, and posting icons occassionally along with normal everyday things.
I'm just looking for people who will comment at least sometimes and who I can visit on occasion, but people who arent going to hate me when I only visit their journals once a week sometimes. Its not that I dont have time, I just get distracted with other things.
check out my profile if you want an idea of what else I'm into. I dont care about your age, race or religion though to be perfectly honest, I'd prefer to read female's journals. I just find them more interesting.

hey everyone! since i'm posting here you can probably tell that i'm looking for more friends. i like to think my entries are generally entertaining (and if you find otherwise then i apologize) and i try not to whine unless i'm so hungover that i want to die. i don't comment a whole lot but i do try and read every post and respond when i have something to say. i'm pretty open-minded––to the extent that i can live with the fact that people have opinions and beliefs that differ from my own.
here is what i like: art, literature, music, film, gossip blogs (specificially this one), rollerblading, kayaking, american apparel (it's unhealthy), true blood, gossip girl, partying, nyc, and cuddling.
if it makes any difference to you, i'm nineteen. if you're an interesting person, age doesn't matter to me. we don't have to have anything in common to be friends, but you should not add me if you are easily offended. also beware: i'm 420 friendly and huge homo. yes, tits are great.

Things to know:
I am a dog person.
I swear constantly, because my job keeps me from doing it out loud. I do know other words however, Mr. Thesaurus hasn't abandoned me completely.
I have family members with mental illnesses and I work with kids who have mental retardation and autism, so I post about those subjects and the social issues surrounding them now and then.
I am super easy going.
My biggest pet peeve is people who fake agree with me just to be nice or try to censor themselves because they want approval. I don't want a robot programmed to love me, I want a friend with a personality! This is seriously one of the only things a person can do that really annoys me. If you disagree, please say so, I want to know why! Maybe you'll change my opinion.
When I say I believe robots are going to be the downfall of mankind, I'm really not joking about that. You'll think it's funny at first, but I am being serious.
Fandom friends are fine, but my journal might disappoint, I don't post much if ever about fandoms. If that's okay with you, then feel free to add me. I don't care if you comment on my LJ every day or once a month. I post often and comment often, but I'm the lowest maintenence LJ friend you'll ever have. |
